I spoke with technical assistance this morning to try and troubleshoot some of the issues. I learned that a new feature of Rosetta Stone requires that students complete the speaking activities and components, which is good.
I know that in the past, some have skipped these lessons and did not receive a penalizing grade. I learned today that Rosetta Stone technicians have closed this loophole very recently. As a result, if you launch the RS program without the mic/headset correctly set-up, the program will skip lessons/questions/screens that require speech. This is why some of you are receiving Xs for skipped lessons.
Since some of you have had a tough time over the past couple days, I am extending Wednesday's deadline through the weekend.
I've emailed your campuses with the same information so that everyone is up to speed. Keep working hard and let me know if you have any questions.
Have a great weekend!
